Daniel P. O'Connell; President
Dan specializes in commercial property and casualty insurance.  Dan holds a degree in marketing and management from Siena College and obtained his CPCU designation in 1991.  Dan's insurance industry involvemnt includes the National Agency Advisory Council for Progressive Insurance, current Chairman of the Adirondack Insurance Advisory Council.  Dan is a former member of the Erie & Niagara, Travelers, Preferred Mutual and Commercial Union Insurance Councils.
Dan's community involvement includes current Board Chair for Glove House, Board member of The Clemens Center, and Southern Tier Economic Growth. Dan is the past Chairman of the Sullivan Trail Chapter of The American Red Cross, St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation and a past Board member of The United Way of the Southern Tier, Chemung County Chamber of Commerce and the Chemung County YMCA.  

Dianne Cooper; Vice President of Financial Services
Dianne is a Certified Long Term Care Planner and Employee Benefits specialist.  She has been in the financial services industry since 1976, she is a Chartered Financial Consultant and Certified Life Underwriter.  Dianne holds licenses in Life, Health, Disability.  She also holds a Series 6, 63, 7 and 24 Securities License.
She has been serving individuals and businesses in employee benefits and financial services arena with Swan & Sons-Morss Company since 1996.

Kathy Swimelar;  Chief Financial Officer
Kathy has 32 years of experience in the insurance field and is a licensed Property & Casualty agent and has worked in the accounting field for the past 10 years.  She attended Corning Community College and is a graduate of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.  She is also a member of the Western Central NY Users Group.
 
Angela M. McInerny; Vice President of Business Lines and Risk Management Services
She is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Certified Risk Manager (CRM) and an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI).  She is also pursing her Chartered Property Casualy Underwriter (CPCU) designation. She joined the company in 1997 and is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life and Health insurance.  She has 16 years experience in the industry.  Her area of concentration is Businesses.
Angela is currently Board Chair for the Sullivan Trail Chapter of The American Red Cross. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for The Glove House, YWCA Elmira and Twin Tiers, Arnot Ogden Foundation Board and Chemung County Child Care Council. She has been a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors since 1998, and Elmira Rotarian since 1997. Angela is a veteran of the United States Army and a 1997 graduate of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program.

John Fowler; Vice President of Business Development
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Management Concentration from State University College at Buffalo. He joined the company in 1995 and is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life and Health insurance.
John is a member of the Regional Board of Advisors for the American Cancer Society. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors for Elmira Downtown Development and the Market Street Merchants Association.  John has served on the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce and he was the 2005 chairman for the Corning Area Chamber of Commerce. He received the 2004 Corning Area Commerce Star Award and the 2005 Corning Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman's award. John has been active with the New York State Special Olympics since 1991.
 
Becky Girardi; Vice President of Personal Lines
Becky has been in the insurance industry for 18 years and has been a licensed property and casualty agent since 1990.
Becky is a graduate of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. 
 
Jane Witkowski; Chief Technology Officer
Jane has been in the insurance industry since 1985.  In 1994, Jane joined our firm as a part-time data processor, and now is responsible for our network and information systems.  She is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and is a member of the Western Central NY Users Group and is currently serving as President.  She is a committee member for the NETVU National Conference.  In 2007 she received the Chapter MVP award at the National convention in Orlando, FLorida.  
Jane served as the Treasurer for the Erin Fire District #1 from 1993 to 2003.  She is currently a fund raising volunteer for Southern Tier Hospice.

Josh Palmer; Vice President of Sales
Josh is a financial advisor licensed in Life, Health and Disability and he also holds a Series 6 and 63 Securities License. He is a graduate of Mansfield University, with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education.
Josh is the founder of the Josh Palmer Fund a local Non-Profit Organization for Cancer patients and their families.
He is a current Board Member of Family Services of Chemung County and the Glove House. He is a past board member of the Parent Resource Center of Corning. Prior to joining Swan & Sons-Morss Co. in 2005, Josh was a history teacher and coach in the Elmira City School District.
He has been the recipient of the following awards: National Leukemia Society (Ernie Davis Courage Award Recipient); American Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year; New York State Governors Award for Leadership & Community Involvement; New York State Athletic Directors Community Awareness Award and a Member of Elmira Southside Athletic Hall of Fame.
Josh is married with three children and they reside in Elmira, New York.
